Welcome back to room 14
In room 14 we have 27 kids. We have been making our koro family. First we drew our koru design on. Then we showed Sharlene and she checked it. After that we got a piece of paper. We drew it and coloured it in with crayons and outlinded it with vivid.
Next week we are going to put a wordle up on it.

Our Y5-8 Disco by Ciara and Jenna
Our disco was no ordinary disco it was full of happy children and bright lights that shone onto the dance floor, they were even on the ceiling. Each child,as they entered the door was given a fizzy drink and a bag of chips of their choice in exchange for two dollars.
There was some awesome dancing and shuffling. The DJ was Alan O'Connor and he was great, all the songs we loved he put on again for our enjoyment!
You could purchase glow sticks five for a dollar at the hall kitchen. People put the glow sticks in their hair and on their clothes. Coloured lights were given out as well.
The people at the disco were dressed in flashy clothes like tops that caught the eyes of people, skinny jeans that were worn right round the hall, dresses that spun when people danced and of course accessories, like hats and jewellery.
The disco was noisy but it was worth it.It was the best disco ever!!!

Rippa Rugby by Olivia B.
On Tuesday the 17th a group of year 5 and 6 went to Morrison Park out in Washdyke. In our team we had 10 players. We got a draw in our first game,we won our second game, got another draw in our third game,we won our forth game and won our fith game.
After that we had to go and sit down to listen to the people that were running it, then they were calling out all the schools that were going throw to the semi finals and they called out Bluestone. I had a bubble feeling inside me.
We were playing against St Andrews. We won that game so we had to play against Pleasant Point. We lost aganst them but came 2nd.
Now we go and play against Otago and South Canterbury and if we win that, we go up to Auckland for the Rippa World Cup.
